Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Well It's been a rather slow start to the year so far…

Apart from a quick visit from Pinkerbell and Mark Varley last month and the ensuing shoot I think the most creative thing I've done this year is grow a beard.
I have subsequently decided that permanent face hair is greatly over-rated. All it's done is make me look 10 years older and remind me how grey I'm going. And instead of a new air of gravitas it's been attracting comments from friends such as "Oh, so you've finally given up then?" and "scruffy bastard"
I intend to persevere for the time being but something else that's rapidly become apparent is that a beard will not be a lot of fun come summer time. (Though that is admittedly a long way off – it's snowing at the moment)
I think I'll have to put up a new ID photo and give everyone a chuckle

Anyway, Congratulations are in order for Pinkerbell

on her well-deserved DD yesterday

I was lucky enough to be at the shoot when this was taken and saw the amount of planning and effort needed to put together this spectacular image in what was a very difficult location setting
So well done Heather and Mr Varley. (I heard you were involved somewhere along the line mate

Beards are great time savers, although they do add about ten years and have the odd gray patch. Mine's no fun in summer, though. It comes off long before then.
