This is beautiful!
I'd love to do IR photos that are as bright white as yours...

Thank you :)

Getting the whites 'white' is all about getting the white balance right - do you make your own custom whitebalances for IR? :)

Yes I make my own custom wb. I use a photo of green grass I once took. Sometimes it works good sometimes it won't. Mostly I have a 'brown stain' ...
I uploaded some of my IR pics if you'd like too see what I mean...

I've just had a look at your IR pictures. I think you are doing things right but one of two things is happening.
1) They look like they were taken on a day where it was overcast or where the IR rays are not very strong?
2) Im not sure if the Canon 1000 you are using is very sensitive to infrared light (Nikons are usually much better than Canons for this)
Also I would recommend setting the white balance outdoors using real grass - you have then set it for the conditions as they are on that day :)

Thank you for your advice :)
Well sun was shining when I took the photos...
I'll try again next time the sun is shining ;)

I think then that the problem may be that your Canon is not very IR sensitive - but good luck ;)

Sun was shining today and I'd say I'm making progress. What do you think?

I think my problem is to find the correct exposure for the custom wb picture..

Those are definately much better   especially 'standing tall' where you have got beautifully white 'greenery' . Why do you use the red hama filter as well as the R72? :)
